MLA Awards 2011

Each year, MLA grants a variety of awards to support the valuable contributions of medical librarians to the profession of health sciences librarianship.  From research and instruction to outstanding service and leadership, MLA’s professional recognition program supports and encourages the best and brightest in the field.  Please consider the following opportunities:

Virginia L. and William K. Beatty MLA Volunteer Service Award – Nominations due November 1, 2010

The Virginia L. and William K. Beatty Medical Library Association Volunteer Service Award recognizes a medical librarian who has demonstrated outstanding, sustained service to MLA and the health sciences library profession.  The recipient will receive a certificate and $1,000. Estelle Brodman Award – Nominations due November 1, 2010

The MLA Estelle Brodman Award recognizes a mid-career academic medical librarian, who demonstrates a significant achievement, the potential for leadership and continuing excellence.
